The Firefly Trail is a community-driven rail-trail in progress. When complete, it will stretch about 39 miles between Union Point and Athens, Ga., connecting three counties and seven towns with a wide, paved, off-road path for walking, running, cycling and rolling that celebrates the historic corridor of the Georgia Railroad Athens Branch, the state’s first chartered railroad.
 This Giving Tuesday, Firefly Trail Inc., needs your help. We have donated or committed more than $350,000 in funds to help local communities build some 12 miles of the 39-mile trail. We need more funds so that we can continue helping small, rural communities like Maxeys and Union Point match grants and build more trail. Help us reach our $50,000 goal and keep the momentum going: Give to our Year-End Campaign today!
