The Firefly Trail is a community-driven rail-trail in progress. When complete, it will stretch about 39 miles between Union Point and Athens, Ga., connecting three counties and seven towns with a wide, paved, off-road path for walking, running, cycling and rolling that celebrates the historic corridor of the Georgia Railroad Athens Branch, the state’s first chartered railroad.
Jittery Joe’s Roaster has been our Athens host since our first ride (back when they were on East Broad Street!), so we can’t say how much we appreciate you opening your doors (and parking lot!) for us again this year for the Ticket to Ride. And thanks, too, to the Athens Cotton Press on Oneta Street for once again allowing us to use your parking lot for overflow. Check out these great Firefly Trail supporters at https://jitteryjoes.com/ and http://www.athenscottonpress.com/.
